This is a full-time, hands-on position with a work schedule of Monday-Friday with possible overtime. Gulfstream Glass predominantly works in East Volusia County in single-family homes and condominiums as well as with some commercial storefront. Applicants must have the ability to carry / lift heavy windows and doors; ability to learn and work as a team member; ability to take instruction well and use power tools. Gulfstream Glass provides all major power tools and transportation to / from the job site.
Duties may include the following:
- Install various fixtures and equipment according to specifications and blueprints
- Caulking / waterproofing
- Measure and cut materials to fit installation requirements
- Assemble and disassemble components as needed
- Follow safety protocols and guidelines
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient and accurate
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
Basic skills necessary:
- General construction experience, 1-2 years or more
- Attention to detail
- Problem-solving skills
- Great attitude
Physical demands:
- Ability to stand for long periods of time; walk and stand on uneven surfaces
- Lift and carry at least 70 lbs.
- Ability to climb ladders 20’ high or greater
- Comfortable working outdoors in Florida
